Saturday night I went to see George Carlin at the Fox Theatre. The opening act was slightly funny. Some of his jokes were predictible but others had me laughing. George was sort of a disappointment though. I was expecting him to be absolutely hilarious and possibly rant about current political issues in a funny manner. Sadly, there was very little new material and the new stuff was funny about 50% of the time. Overall, I had a good time going out with friends and seeing the show but I had hoped it would be a funnier experience. It seems that Mr. Carlin is getting a little too old to be telling new jokes.

Oh, you should really check this out (requires Flash).

I've seen him on television before and he seemed to be a sharp, relevant comic that I found entertaining. All I saw on saturday was a tired old man desperately clinging to profanity as a last method of people laugh.

That's a shame. I saw Lewis Black a few months ago, and he was hysterically funny.

Lewis Black will be at the Tabernacle next month. I am contemplating going.
