Wolven found the answer to the very odd duck question I posted a few days ago. Here it is:
In radio's heyday, Ish K. Bibble asked of Kay Kayser (on Kay Kayser's Kollege of Musical Knowledge) if he knew the difference between a duck. Kay allowed he didn't, and requested Ish to answer his own rhetorical question. Ish said: "The difference between a duck is that one of its legs is both the same."
Ish is also known for the following poem:
"I sneezed a sneeze into the air;
"It fell to earth I knew not where:
"But you should have seen the looks on those
"In whose vicinity I snoze!"

If you are viewing this site in Internet Explorer you have probably noticed that these news items are not centered and are not as wide as one would think they should be. It seems that Internet Explorer's !Doctype support does not like the XHTML !DOCTYPE definition. Don't know what I mean by !DOCTYPE? Read here.
Basically, I am not going to go out of my way to make IE work like it should. I know of a way to get the site to look proper with IE but then I have to maintain two stylesheets. If you want to view this site as it should be get a more standards compliant browser like Mozilla or Opera. If you are a frequent visitor to some of my other sites you may want to consider getting one of them. I will very shortly be upgrading all the sites I maintain to XHTML 1.0.

Someone please explain what the hell this means to me:
"Q: What is the difference between a duck? A: One leg is both the same."

I was looking at the load averages on one of the servers I run today and all three [see here for more information] were at '1.0'. This was the first time I had ever seen a load average that high so I decided do a little research to find out if an average that high is bad or not. I came up with this document. It is a pretty good read if you are interested in what load averages really mean on your Linux box.
