Clayton State's spring break is the first week of March. The upcoming spring break should be my last, and for the first time in ten years, I'm going to go somewhere. I will be in Los Angeles visiting my friend Jason from the first through the fourth. I am very excited; I have never been that far west.

I've mentioned before how crappy my camera is. Not only does it take poor pictures, but it has started not wanting to take pictures at all! Clearly, this won't work for a vacation. To solve the problem, I bought a Canon PowerShot A720 IS. I have had the camera for a couple of weeks now, but today was the first day I had any time to really play with it. I must say, this camera takes some amazing pictures. Those pictures aren't even the full resolution. I scaled them down to 70% of their original size before putting them in the gallery. They're still stunning.

The second picture is from a set I took at my old elementary school this afternoon. The school closed at the end of my fifth grade year. I have many fond memories of that school. A few years ago, someone bought it and turned it into a charter school. That school didn't last very long, and the building has been sitting empty for years now. It makes me sad to see what the vandals have done to the place. But then, if it weren't for them, I wouldn't have been able to get inside of it today. It's been for sale for a while now. Would one of you like to give me the money to buy it?
